Special Containment Procedures: SCP-049’s containment chamber is equipped with an airlock operable via control buttons located on the observation deck. Access to the chamber is throught a stairwell designed to minimize the risk of hostile anomalies gaining an advantage. The interior of SCP-049’s containment chamber includes furnishings similar to those found in modern housing, reflecting the subject’s sentience.
Access to SCP-049’s containment chamber is restricted to Level-4 personnel or higher.
Description: SCP-049 exhibits hostility toward individuals it perceives as being infected with the “Pestilence.” If unchecked SCP-049 will attempt to terminate such individuals. The subject is capable of halting all biological functions of a living organism through direct skin contact though the mechanism by which this occurs remains unknown.
Following this, SCP-049 frequently conducts surgical procedures on deceased or incapacitated subjects often resulting in the reanimation of individuals it has deemed “dead.” Those reanimated are designated as SCP-049-2.
