"Rusty Cowbell"
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-513 is to be encased within a block of sound absorbing gel. The containment chamber is fully lined with sound dampening foam panels to prevent any auditory emissions from escaping the chamber.
An observation room constructed of bulletproof glass is attached to the containment chamber no control panels, buttons, or interactive systems are present within the observation area to eliminate accidental activation.
All access points to SCP-513’s containment chamber are restricted to Level-3 or higher personnel.
Description: Any sound produced by SCP-513 immediately induces intense anxiety in all sentient beings who hear it regardless of prior mental condition or psychological resilience. Affected individuals commonly report an overwhelming sensation of being watched by an unseen presence, accompanied by a significant increase in heart rate and stress responses.
Approximately one minute following initial exposure subjects begin reporting brief visual manifestations of SCP-513-1. These manifestations typically occur during sudden shifts in visual perspective such as opening doors turning the head quickly, or otherwise altering the subject’s field of view. Upon visual contact SCP-513-1 is described as startling or frightening the subject before vanishing instantaneously without leaving any physical trace.
Interviews with non-exposed bystanders confirm that SCP-513-1 is completely invisible and undetectable to individuals who have not been exposed to SCP-513, indicating that SCP-513-1’s manifestation is limited exclusively to affected subjects.
